Although World of Warcraft 's subscriber number is declining, the revenue generated by the game is increasing, Blizzard tainment CEO Mike Morhaime declared. He didn't provide any specific figures for the revenue as well Actvision Blizzard does not share the information with the public.

Activision Blizzard also announced today that World of Warcraft has now sold more than 20 million copies. This number includes sales for World of Warcraft itself and the expansion Reaper of Souls, which was the highest-rated PC game in the quarter in terms of dollars sold in the two regions of North America and Europe, Activision Blizzard said. World of Warcraft originally launched as a PC exclusive, however, it is now available on Xbox 360 and PlayStation. Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions will be released later this month, dubbed an Ultimate Evil Edition.

All in all, Activision Blizzard posted better-than-expected results in its earnings in the first quarter. The revenue was $658 million as which was up from $608 million the same time last year. Net income however was $45 million. This is only one-third of what that the company made last year in the same period. The bright side is that Activision Blizzard reported that a record-setting 73 percent of the total revenue of the company came through digital transactions.
