Significant announcements for the most popular Blizzard franchises like World of Warcraft and Diablo typically take place at BlizzCon which usually happens in D2R Ladder Items November. The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has created a rift in this system. Blizzard has moved to an on-line BlizzCon event in February 2021. The company had planned to host a similar online event for February 2022. BlizzCon 2022 was later pulled due to the ongoing fallout of several discrimination and sexual harassment cases and investigations that involved Activision Blizzard.

Blizzard announced at the time of the event's cancelation that they had taken the time to "reimagine" the future of BlizzCon might be in the future. It also stated that future news surrounding various Blizzard franchises would be announced through official franchise channels with the BlizzCon team assisting in those efforts.

What all this means is that news like what World of Warcraft's next expansion will include, updates on the state of Diablo 2. and how Diablo IV is shaping up (just to mention just a few) are no longer tied to major fan events, and can instead be revealed whenever the development teams are ready. The fact that Blizzard had a flurry of tweets indicating that it was working on a brand new survival game IP is evident in the sense that these types of major announcements could come anytime.

Activision Blizzard is currently in the process of being purchased by Microsoft in a deal worth $69 billion subject to regulatory approval. It's unclear what the acquisition will mean for Blizzard's most popular franchises in regards to these games eventually being part of the Game Pass service or becoming Xbox exclusives for consoles. Diablo IV and Diablo 2. Although neither had an official release window was both delayed, with a presentation during an Activision Blizzard quarterly earnings call in which they said both games would benefit from additional development time.

Skills and passive skills are separate areas of the tree. When you level up your skills, you'll earn points that you can spend to unlock specific abilities as well as additional abilities to the abilities you already have as well as passive points. With passive points, it is possible to Buy D2R Ladder Items unlock new passive abilities in your character.
